UAE-Thailand travel: flydubai expands Southeast Asia network with new twice-daily Dubai-Bangkok route
Fares revealed for Business and Economy cabins
DUBAI – UAE carrier flydubai has announced the launch of double-daily flights to Bangkok, significantly increasing its footprint in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
The new service is scheduled to begin on 15 September 2026 and will operate from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport. Flights will arrive at Don Mueang International Airport, one of the Thai capital’s main international gateways. With the addition, the airline’s Thailand operations will rise to 28 weekly flights.
The Bangkok launch marks the carrier’s second destination in Thailand and its fourth in Southeast Asia. It already serves Krabi in Thailand, alongside Langkawi and Penang in Malaysia. The move strengthens direct links between Dubai and key leisure and business markets across the region, reflecting sustained passenger demand on Asian routes.

Don Mueang Airport, located north of central Bangkok, handles a large volume of regional and international traffic and is widely used by business and leisure travellers. The airport provides access to Bangkok’s commercial districts and tourism hubs, supporting year-round demand from Gulf and European markets. Operating from Terminal 3 in Dubai also places the new flights within the airline’s main hub operations, designed to streamline transfers.
According to the carrier, the Bangkok service will run twice daily with all times operating locally. Tickets are available through the airline’s website, mobile app, contact centre, travel shops and authorised travel partners.

A senior commercial executive at flydubai said Thailand continues to rank among the most popular destinations for both leisure and corporate travellers. The double-daily Bangkok operation is intended to offer greater flexibility and schedule choice while supporting rising traffic flows between Southeast Asia and the Gulf.
The airline’s network now spans more than 135 destinations worldwide. Its expansion strategy focuses on opening underserved routes and increasing frequencies on high-demand sectors, funnelling traffic through Dubai as a global transit hub for passengers travelling between Asia, Europe and the GCC.

The Bangkok flights will operate under the codeshare partnership with Emirates, allowing travellers to book combined itineraries on a single ticket. The arrangement includes through check-in of baggage and coordinated connections across a joint network covering more than 240 destinations worldwide.
Return Business Class fares from Dubai to Bangkok start from Dh9,000, while Economy Class Lite fares start from Dh2,500. From Bangkok to Dubai, return Business Class fares start from THB 64,000 and Economy Class Lite fares from THB 22,000. The airline said passengers in both cabins can access onboard entertainment, meal options inspired by international cuisine, and upgraded seating products as part of its ongoing service enhancements.
